Old Spanish Trail Arena

The Old Spanish Trail Arena is located just minutes south of Moab, Utah on Hwy. 191.  Moab area sights and activities will make your stay a fantastic experience.  We would love to host your Equestrian/Non-Equestrian events. The complex offers:

  • indoor arena
  • outdoor arena
  • half  mile racetrack
  • 178 covered stalls (with water, electricity)
  • wash rack
  • large warm-up pen
  • stock holding pen
  • sound system
  • pro timing system
  • concession
  • lots of convenient parking areas

Indoor arena offers:

  • Climate control for year round comfort
  • 121' x 205' with rails up (for special events there is the option to take the rails down for additional room)
  • Bleacher seating for 1,100 spectators
  • Stock pens professionally designed for rodeos and roping events

Outdoor arena can be set up for:

  • Rodeos
  • Roping
  • Other Equestrian events

Both Arenas can be used for non-Equestrian events.

Services Offered

  • Cleaning during and after event
  • Groom Arena, if required
  • Tractor and/or water truck at an hourly rate if extra equipment is required
  • Concessionaire provides food during events
  • Stall Cleaning before and after event, if equestrian

Footnotes
1 Note:             Cost of damage will be levied against the Security Deposit posted with the County. Security deposits will be forfeited when notice of cancellation is less than 48 hours.
2 Note:             The reserving of both indoor arena and/or the outdoor arena and/or race track for the same day or same event will require that the individual or entity rent the entire facility and pay the associated fees.
3 Note:             If outdoor arena is rented, the race track will be closed. If the race track is rented the outdoor arena will be closed.
4 Note:             User and/or Event Holder is responsible to clean facilities which will be inspected 1st business day after event. If user requires OSTA to clean, cost will be at staff cost per hour line item.
5 Note:             User cleans stall and hauls manure to the designated pile.
6 Note:             Barn will be prorated for stalls that are already rented to long-term renters.
7 Note:             All arena, and race track rental fees do not include cleaning. If Event Holder wants OSTA staff to clean, it will be in accordance with the staff cost as shown in the fee schedule above.
8 Note:             Only trained OSTA employees will be allowed to operate OSTA equipment.
9 Note:             All upper (south) stalls are to be rented prior to renting the lower (north) stalls. If an individual asks specifically for the lower stalls, they must make arrangements with OSTA staff.
