The Department of Emergency Management is responsible for
the County's emergency operation plan. We meet regularly as
a Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC). The department
is currently working with school on a safe school program,
hazardous material response team, and a communication plan.

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
