Open Burning 

OPEN BURN PROCESS NOV. 1-30, MAR. 1- JUNE 30 

Before you burn, make a notification to SO Dispatch. (435) 259-8115. Burning will be allowed with a 500+ Clearing Index. Please check the Clearing Index on the day of the burn.

Burning may only occur during the open burn windows: March 1st - May 30th and November 1st - November 30th. These permits are valid for one day at a time and do not allow for burning inside City Limits. 

The following links will give statewide information regarding open burning. Note that if the Clearing Index is below 500, you will not be permitted to burn.
