Land Use Code and Zoning Map Amendments
Project Title: Public Hearing to consider an Ordinance to amend the Land Use Code.
Project Description: Planning Commission will review and make a recommendation to the County Commission on draft amendments to the Land Use Code, which have been prioritized through recent Planning Commission and County Commission meetings. The updates include addressing concerns with Conditional Use Permits in the Use Table, the minimum lot size for outlying areas of the County (Range and Grazing), compliance with State Statute regarding Accessory Dwelling Units, improvements to the Site Plan Review standards for commercial and multifamily development, clarification on trail easements in relation to new development, and applying the Water Source Protection Overlay standards to areas covered by the EPA sole source aquifer in the Castle Valley region. The amendments also include much needed updates to Article 10, Definitions to be consistent with language in the code.
