Aches Ranger and Grand County Sheriff and Grand County EMS responded to the parking area at Balanced Rock in Arches National Park for a motor vehicle and pedestrian accident.
It had been reported that a vehicle had backed over a pedestrian. Responding parties found 66 year old female(Korean) had been behind a vehicle in the parking lot when the vehicle driven by 69 year old male driver(Colorado) backed up and knocked her down and then backed over her. The victim was transported to Moab Regional Hospital and then flown to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. The accident is currently under investigation.
