Join us as we welcome author W. K. Stratton to Moab's Star Hall to discuss his new book "The Wild Bunch: Sam Peckinpah, a Revolution in Hollywood, and the Making of a Legendary Film." Mr. Stratton will be answering questions about, and signing copies of, his new book from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m., when he'll speak to the full audience and introduce the film. The film will start at 6:30 p.m. and attendees will then enjoy a full screening of "The Wild Bunch," courtesy of Utah Film Center. Afterward, Mr. Stratton will answer lingering or new questions anyone has about the film, and will sign any additional copies of his book.
This special event is presented in partnership with the Center for the Book at Utah Humanities and the Utah Film Center with additional support from the Moab to Monument Valley Film Commission and Back of Beyond Books.

During this one day intensive digital media camp, middle and high school age students will create a short multimedia project with the help of Spyhop mentors. Creations may be short videos, songs, or any sort of digital project! All equipment and materials will be provided.
Space and equipment are limited. Please sign up by Wednesday, April 17 to attend.

River historian, author, and archivist Roy Webb will discuss his background as a scholar of Colorado and Green River history, the books his work inspired, and the creation of the Utah River Running Archives.
Roy was an archivist with the Special Collections Department, J. Willard Marriott Library, University of Utah, from 1983 until 2018.
His books on the history of river running include:

We'll be screening "Roadtrip Nation: Skills Powered" and enjoying pizza in the library! The film depicts three young adults traveling the U.S. to learn that rewarding careers and fulfilling lives can be built in many ways. After the film, work-based learning specialist Travis Cook will answer audience questions about alternative career pathways in Utah.
