About the Commission

The 7 elected Commission Members comprise the Grand County Commission, which is the legislative body for Grand County. Commission members serve on a part-time basis while the other elected officials serve full-time.  

Funding is through the General Fund Account No. 4111, County Commission, and General Fund Account No. 4112, Commission Administrator.

The County Commission meetings, in which all major decisions are made, are held bimonthly. In some cases, public hearings are also required.  Commission meetings are open to the public. Agendas are posted in the courthouse (in front of the Commission Chambers) and online at the Grand County Website and Utah Public Notice Website.

Agendas are available prior to the meetings. Minutes are available following approval. To request inclusion on the Commission Agenda, fill out the Agenda Summary Form and submit it to the County Commission.

Requests, Questions & Comments

Requests, questions, or comments can be communicated to the Commission's Office at 435-259-1342. Those with special needs requests wishing to attend meetings are encouraged to contact the Commission's Office 2 days in advance. Specific accommodations necessary to allow participation of disabled persons will be provided to the maximum extent possible. Telecommunication Device for the Deaf (TDD) calls can be answered at 435-259-1346.
