Flood Damage Information
In light of recent flooding events, the County has put together the following information regarding clean-up efforts:
1) Contact your insurance agent
- This is the very first thing you need to do, if you have not done so already.
2) Document everything!
- Document damage, take pictures and/or video, note dates and times where possible, etc. If you have any "before" pictures and/or video, please include them.
- See Below for Property Damage and Volunteer reporting of recent events and include all documentation, submit multiple submissions if necessary.
- Contact the Grand County Building Department for questions or issues with forms or to schedule an inspection of the property for structural damage at 435-259-4134
4) Start clean-up **Debris removal instructions are for Grand County property owners - Contact Moab City for instructions on debris removal within City limits**
- Please move the debris to the edge of your property line - do not block or impede traffic or access in any way
- Call the Grand County Road Department at 435-259-5308, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. to schedule pick-up.
- Please leave a message if there is no answer and someone will return your call ASAP.
5) Repair Work with a qualified contractor to get quotes for repair. Beware of Scams!

Every year the monsoon comes. Every year some buildings flood. Sandbags can stop water from entering buildings and divert water away from vulnerable areas. Currently FREE at:
