Sign Up for a Grand County Public Library Card!
Your library card is your key to checking out books and library materials from the Grand County Public Library, using library computers, and accessing digital materials from Utah’s Online Library.
We have several types of library card options based on your current address and check-out needs.
Introductory Card
Requires:
- Photo ID issued by a unit of government, organization, school, or employer.
- A current Grand County or 84532 zip code address.
- Completed registration form.
Details:
- Free of charge.
- 5 item check-out limit and full access to Utah Online Library digital content.
- Card expires 1 year from date of issue and/or renewal date. May be renewed for free as long as address is still within Grand County or 84532 zip code area.
Resident Card
Requires:
- Photo ID issued by a unit of government, organization, school, or employer.
- Proof of a current Grand County or 84532 zip code address (see reverse for acceptable proof of residency documents).
- Completed registration form.
Details:
- Free of charge.
- 20 item check-out limit and full access to Utah Online Library digital content.
- Card expires 1 year from date of issue and/or renewal date. May be renewed for free as long as address is still within Grand County or 84532 zip code area.
Quarterly Non-Resident Card
Requires:
- Photo ID issued by a unit of government, organization, school, or employer.
- Completed registration form.
Details:
- Cost is $15.
- Card expires 3 months from issue date and may be renewed in 3 month increments for $15.
- 5 item check out limit and full access to Utah Online Library digital content.
- Adults with this type of card may be guarantors for free juvenile or teen quarterly non-resident cards. Youth cards will be listed as guarantees and renewed whenever the adult card is renewed.
Annual Non-Resident Card
Requires:
- Photo ID issued by a unit of government, organization, school, or employer.
- Completed registration form.
Details:
- Cost is $60.
- Card expires 1 year from the issue date and may be renewed in 1 year increments for $60.
- 20 item check-out limit and full access to Utah Online Library digital content.
- Adults with this type of card may be guarantors for free juvenile or teen non-resident cards. Youth cards will be listed as guarantees and renewed whenever the adult card is renewed.
Acceptable Proof of Residency
Proof of current address must list:
- Street address not P.O. Box or Personal Mailbox address.
- Library card applicant’s name with a Grand County and/or 84532 address.
Examples:
- Current Utah driver’s license.
- Piece of mail delivered by the USPS, FedEx, or UPS to street address [Note: The library can mail applicant a free postcard to their street address, which can be brought back as proof of residency after delivery.]
- Utility Bill.
- Vehicle registration or insurance card.
- Signed rental agreement, official rent receipt, contract or lease.
- Bank statement or personalized check.
- Signed letter from employer stating that applicant live in employer provided housing.
Electronic versions of documents from the above list will be accepted.
Presentation of a long expired Grand County Public Library card signed by the applicant will be accepted and restored to an active card status.
